What is your background?
I have a Master Degree in Economics and Law and spent more than 12 years in aircraft leasing and aviation environment. While working for a bank I was involved in structuring and developing operational leasing financial requirements and some high value aircraft delivery projects. I have experience in aircraft technical recovery as I was controlling the recovery process of 4 B747- 400 for further lease. So my understanding goes beyond aircraft economics and financing. For my work I visited Airbus and Boeing premises for deliveries. Mostly representing the front office and working in sales I’ve built an efficient network that helps me connect people and create opportunities.
Why is Aethos important to you?
Despite that everyone is talking about sustainability everywhere, including aviation, the general aircraft recycling process is far from being perfect while there is vision that the whole aircraft can be almost fully recycled. Therefore Aethos is a great opportunity to educate businesses inside and outside aviation that there is a more efficient way to recycle materials that are left after disassembling an aircraft. I find the idea is especially important while we experience certain price increases for raw materials and bowels.
What goal do you want to achieve?
I would like to bring general awareness to the industry that an airplane can be recycled even more efficiently and probably in a more creative way. Whereas we are already dealing with recycling of household waste we are simply missing the fact that there are things that might have a significant impact on the environment and if we figure out a way to better recycle an aircraft or reuse it we will have a much better outcome. So it would be great to bring some extra value to an aviation industry creating an obvious model of how an aircraft can be utilized or recycled almost completely, so companies such as an airline or a financial institution or even an investor can change their perception of an aircraft as an asset. Besides that, there is a wish to connect some other industries so they can think outside the box and help with the process.
What is funny to know about you?
I’m impossible foody and very picky)
